💡 Specific criteria depending on the format
The following criteria apply to the indicated format in addition to the prohibited content policies.
📌 Photos and videos
In addition to prohibited content guidelines, photos and videos are subject to the following criteria.
Screenshots, stock photos, GIFs or other images created manually or taken by third parties should not be uploaded. For photos or videos to be relevant, users must take them at the location in question. If the main topic of the content is irrelevant to the location, it may be removed.
📌Stylist adjustments
Stylistic adjustments (such as applying filters) are acceptable, as long as these style changes are minimal and elements such as borders, text, collaged images, etc. are not added.
Content that makes it difficult for other users to understand the shared environment may be rejected.
Some examples are excessively dark or out-of-focus images, compositions with significant rotation, and the use of filters that drastically alter the representation of the place.
Images must have an appropriate resolution. Exact requirements may vary depending on photo type and upload point.
For videos, you can only upload content that is stable and has good visual quality. You should not upload content that is out of focus, shaky or with poor exposure. Distorted or corrupted videos are not allowed.
📌Overlay text or graphics:
Overlay text or graphics, including promotional content such as logos, are subject to the following requirements:
For 360º photos, overlapping content must be limited to either the zenith or the nadir (the top or bottom 25% of the image's equirectangular projection), but cannot be present in both.
For traditional digital photos and videos, overlay content should take up no more than 10% of the image or video, and should be limited to a single edge.
Overlaid text or graphics must be relevant.
Overlaid text or graphics that distract users' attention are not allowed
