The ✔️ verification process ensures the accuracy of information across all Google platforms and protects business owners.
For now they are handled with 3 options so you can choose the one that best suits your needs:
1) Verify a company by 📞 phone:
If your business is eligible for phone verification, you'll see the "Verify by phone" option when you request verification. If you don't see this option, check the other options.
On your computer 💻
Access Google My Business .
Choose the company you want to verify.
Click Verify now Verify by phone .
To receive the verification code, make sure you can answer your company's phone directly.
Enter the code from the automatic message.
On your mobile device 📱
Open the Google My Business app .
Press Call me now .
Enter the code from the automatic message.
Then, press Send.
2) Verify a company by ✉️ email:
Not all companies can verify your profile via email. If you don't see this option, try another verification method.
Before
trying to verify your business via email, make sure you can access the email address that appears on the verification screen. On your computer 💻
Access Google My Business .
Choose the company you want to verify.
Click Verify now .
In the list of verification options, click Email .
Click the Verify button in the verification email. You can also enter the code from the email message in the Google My Business dashboard.
On your mobile device 📱
Open the Google My Business app or go to Google My Business .
Choose the company you want to verify.
Press Send email .
Check your email to get the code.
Press Enter code .
Enter the email code.
Press Send .
3) How to verify a company by 📫 postal mail
Important: Do not ❌ edit your business name, address, category, or request a new code while waiting to receive the verification postcard, as this may delay the process.
Before requesting verification by mail, make sure your address meets our guidelines for entering addresses .
Important: Due to COVID-19, you may experience delays receiving your postcard. On your computer 💻
Access Google My Business .
Choose the company you want to verify.
Click Verify now .
On the postcard request screen, make sure the address is displayed correctly. To facilitate the delivery of the postcard, you can also add an optional contact name.
Click Send Postcard .
The postcard should arrive by mail. Postcards generally arrive within 14 days.
On your mobile device 📱
Open the Google My Business app .
Press Send a postcard .
Choose the company you want to verify.
Press I don't have a code .
The postcard should arrive by mail. Postcards generally arrive within 14 days.
📌 How to enter your verification code
Previously you must receive a postcard as we show you in the following image:
Open it very carefully to avoid damaging the paper inside which contains the verification code.
On your computer 💻
Once you receive the postcard, go to Google My Business .
If you have multiple locations, open the one you want to manage.
Click Check Location in the menu, or Click Check Now .
In the "Code" field, enter the 5-digit verification code indicated on the postcard.
Click Send .
On your mobile device 📱
Once you receive the postcard, open the Google My Business app .
Choose the company you want to verify.
To verify it, press Enter code . If you didn't receive the postcard, tap I don't have a code .
